Not only does Italy have a great history but it is also one of the most romantic countries in the world, an important factor for a couple on their honeymoon. This is after all the country that gave us Romeo and Juliet. There are lots of great walks that you can go in if you want to spend a romantic day with your partner. One of the great things about taking a trip to Italy is that it is so easy to do. Because so many tourists make the trip every year the country is well set up for visitors. It is easy to get around the country on the trains and there is lots of accommodation available. While Italy will never be considered a cheap country to visit it can be quite affordable if you travel in the right way. Of course you can also break the bank if you want to so you will need to decide on how much you are going to spend while you are there.
One of the other things that make Italy such an interesting place to visit is the huge variety of things to see. The north and the south of the country seem like two completely different countries. The north is quite affluent and located right in the heart of the Alps. The south on the other hand is much poorer and grittier. It is located on the Mediterranean and feels more like the other countries in Southern Europe. If you have enough time then it is definitely worth it to tour the entire country. However it is probably more realistic to choose a region that you are interested in seeing and stick to it.
